Um, author friends? For your subject header? "Query" is spelled "query." Not "queary." That's all for today. Thanks.
Um, author friends? For your subject header? "Query" is spelled "query." Not "queary." That's all for today. Thanks.
But sometimes it's spelled "weary."
I can't believe this still happens...
Oh. My. Goodness. That qualifies as stepping in sh*t and then sticking your foot in your mouth!
I had to run and check to make sure I had not done this very same thing. Holy cripes, that would be my luck. (I didn't, by the way.)
Talk about a bad first impression! Ouch.
What is this "query" you speak of? Aren't you just supposed to show up at the publishing house with donuts and 50 copies of your MS, in costume, ready to act out the first scene?
*I keed, I keed*
Are you sure it's not "querry" or, more appropriate most time, "queery"
Sometimes I can't believe you are serious. And how many of these types of back-asswards attempts to get published show up on your doorstep every week? It's like they aren't even trying...
We ARE serious. We really are. Ask the inestimable Ms. Reid.
Thankfully, only one person so far has actually shown up on the doorstep in the flesh. We still have not recovered from that particular trauma.
Rofl.
It is hard to believe, but at the same time, working retail in the day and writing at night...yeah...I can believe it. Which is scary.
At least it gives me hope. Surely my queries will stand out among all of those horrible mistakes.
It must be querry. Cos when you email it, it's an equerry.
