First of all, axl rose was THE crush when I was in jr. high (back in the day b4 it was called "Middle School").

And that Paradise City scene from Can't Hardly Wait was hysterical thanks to the juxtaposition of Axl's uber-male hedonistic lyrics with the gyrating geek boy.

Okay, I am dating myself here, but my first concert EVER was the G'n'R-Metallica Stadium Tour (with Faith No More opening) at Giants Stadium. Can you say AWESOME? Metallica played for FOUR HOURS, and GNR wasn't nearly as late as predicted, and although Axl did get pissy and leave the stage (because someone threw a note onstage during the performance), we got a good hour-plus of music from the band before he bailed.

I was at a gas station in Arizona and their tour van pulled in for gas. We geve the guy that came in to pay a hard time...I think I said something along the lines of "Hey, is that what you have in there, guns and roses?" He looked at me like I was insane...They were just becoming popular and I didn't hear about them until a few months later. I could have died....talk about missing the boat. Oh Axle...we could have been great together.
