That might tax even my scotch-irish liver.
There will be an article under the headline "E-books: A Matter of Leaf or Death?"
The lede will ask whether e-books will kill real books as surely as people who read e-book articles die of alcohol poisoning.
And then we will die again.
Match up that list to any article written about e-books and play, and you'll die of alcohol poisoning.
If there's one thing I love, it's the smell of a real book.
Especially when snuggling in the bathtub.
(I hope my above habits aren't damaging to people I love.)
See, I like the smell of overheated circuitry and the tingle of imminent eletrocution . . .
But seriously, what is the smell of a 'real book'? What do strings of words conveying ideas and meaning smell like? Old Spice?
I rub Old Spice on all my books.
Its a good thing I was meeting friends for drinks tonight, because I have been guilty disavowing ebook readers for reason of a) reading in the tub--seriously my favorite bathtime ritual EVAR! and b) loving the smell and texture of books....hmm ink and newsprint, yum. I had a grand patron margarita and two shots of rum.
AND I MADE IT HOME!
